DATING MY VIBRATOR (and other true fiction)

I'm doing two Indie Books Reading Challenges for 2011 - the ABC Indie Fiction Challenge, and the I Heart Indie Books Reading Challenge (more details below). In helping to spread the word about the wonderful selection of Indie books out there, I'm going to be blogging about my progress and reviews.

My eleventh review is of Dating My Vibrator (and other true fiction) - a humorous collection of short stories...

About Dating My Vibrator (and other true fiction)

5 stars from Joe Konrath, who says, "Pure Comedic Brilliance." This is a collection of nine stories, all based (unfortunately) on my own experience. Dating, divorce, desperation--all that good stuff! After nineteen years of marriage, I was suddenly thrust into a brave new world of dating--online, offline, standing in line, listening to lines--and I've survived to tell these tales. CAUTION: if you're contemplating divorce, these stories may convince you to consider marriage counseling. If you're out there dating, chances are you will relate. OMG! Here's a scary thought: maybe you've met some of these guys! Names have been changed to protect the guilty.

Review

Suzanne Tyrpak is a natural story teller, and I was cracking up out loud quite a lot during some of the collection. At the same time, though, the stories are also quite sad, and they're a great insight into the dating game after her divorce. I recognized quite a few traits of the men she dates, and they're pretty scary!

Dating My Vibrator is a roller-coaster of emotions, and a bare-all (not literally!) book that women and (hopefully!) men can relate to. If you're looking for a fun read, you've got to check this out!

Dating My Vibrator is available from Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk
