It's Author's Coffee Time on my blog today. Grab a caramel macchiato and meet Traci Hohenstein, author of the new thriller, Burn Out...

About Traci

Traci Hohenstein lives in Florida and is a beachbum by nature. She loves going to the beach with her kids, swimming and building sandcastles. When she is not building sandcastles, she is building stories.

Latte, cappuccino, regular? What’s your coffee time pleasure?
Caramel Macchiato, please.

Sounds yum! What flavour cookie would you like with that?
Oatmeal Butterscotch chip

Oatmeal's healthy, right? What’s your greatest writing achievement to date?
The release of my new suspense novel, BURN OUT, which will be released on April 5th.

Burn Out looks a great thriller. It's sooo on my TBR list! Who is your hero and why?
My mother who survived breast cancer. She is the epitome of a strong, Southern woman. She never lets obstacles get in her way and plows ahead with strength and determination.

Wow - that's heartwarming to hear her story. I'm so pleased for her.Which word best defines your writing?
Simple and straight to the point. You won’t find a lot of fluff in my writing.

So not a fluffy gal? What’s the most recent thing that made you laugh?
My kids make me laugh every day. Carson, who is my six year old son, just had a fundraiser at school where the kids raise money by running laps in the gym. He wore a 70’s style sweat headband to complete his running attire. So cute.

Bless him! Which book is on your coffee table right now?
Magic School Bus books – my kids. On my nightstand I have Chelsea Cain’s Heartsick.

What was the name of your first pet?
Kono. I lived in Hawaii when I was younger and that is where we got the name. He was a lovable mutt.

You lucky girl - sea, sun, sand - I can see why the beachbum first reared her head! Who is your favourite character and why?
Scarlett O’Hara. Another strong, Southern woman that I admire. (Seeing a trend here?) She is a very bad girl, who deep down, I think wanted to be good.

What’s your most embarrassing moment?
Let’s just say it involves glitter and the gynaecologist.

I just snorted my coffee out! That would definitely constitute embarrassing. Every woman's worst nightmare!

You can find out more about Traci on her website.

And stay tuned to my next post because Traci is running a fab giveaway competition. All will be revealed...

Happy Reading!
